On 4 November 2014 the High-Level Taskforce to end Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism announced the conduct of a Global Study on Sexual Exploitation of Children in Travel and Tourism. The public announcement was made at the World Travel Market in London, UK.
The Global Study uses several methods to collect information from key stakeholders across different sectors.
Method 2: Invited partners & experts
Terre des Hommes was approached by ECPAT International to lead one of the many subthemes of the Global Study and has agreed on cooperation together with the following stakeholders/experts: Better Care Network, Dr. Jonas Kai of the University of Amsterdam, UNICEF, World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Keeping Children Safe, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN), EUROPOL, UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), US Homeland Security Investigations (HSI ICE).
Many others are expected to contribute as well.
